Cheltenham 13:30 - Last year’s Champion Bumper winner Facile Vega was disappointing last time out when he was a well beaten favourite, they went an awfully fast pace that day and he wasn’t able to finish the race how he usually does and if ridden with better tactics he could be hard to beat here. Marine Nationale is unbeaten so far but hasn’t been seen since December but has to be highly respected in his search for a five timer.

Cheltenham 14:10 - A cracking renewal, Jonbon hasn’t put a foot wrong over fences so far despite a small scare last time out, the horse he beat has gone out and won since and this accurate jumper holds every chance of adding an Arkle to his CV. El Fabiolo beat Dysart Dynamo at the Dublin Racing Festival last month and should uphold that form. This is likely to turn into a match between El Fabiolo and Jonbon and hopefully its as entertaining as when they met at Aintree last year.

Cheltenham 15:30 - It is very hard to look past possibly the best horse in training at the minute, Constitution Hill, who has blown away his rivals in every start under rules. The favourite will prove very hard to beat here but faces some new opposition from over the water. State Man is one of the new kids on the block having won four Grade 1s and should be able to give Constitution Hill something to think about but will need everything to fall right.

Cheltenham 13.30 - Barry Connell was full of praise when Good Land won at Leopardstown last month in a G1 and if he can back that performance up here against a stronger field he holds every chance again. Hermes Allen bolted up in the Challow Hurdle at Newbury in December and he may not of reached his limit yet. While Impaire Et Passe is unbeaten and looks a very nice prospect whos open to further improvement.

Cheltenham 14.10 -Gerri Colombe maintained his unbeaten run when winning the Scilly Isles at Sandown and has to be considered the one to beat here with further improvement still likely. The Real Whacker was a good winner of a G2 here in January and his superb jumping puts him right in the mix. Adamantly Chosen is another accurate jumper who has finished 2nd to Gerri Colombe two starts ago and has to be considered.

Cheltenham 14.50 - The Coral Cup looks a beast of a race as usual but I’m keen on the chances of Camprond. Trainer Philip Hobbs knows what it takes to lift this prize having won with What’s Up Boys in 2000 and Monkerhostin four years later. The JP McManus-owned six-year-old went into a few notebooks when running a cracker in the Greatwood Hurdle here in November. Prominent for most of the race he just looked to get tapped for a bit of toe as the field turned for home before staying on again to finish fourth, six lengths behind West Cork. On his previous start over 2m4f here in October, he made most in a three-runner race to win as he pleased and a return to this type of trip will do him no harm at all.

Cheltenham 15.30 - Editeur Du Gite beat both Edwardstone and Energumene here in January and he is a very good jumper from the front and if everything falls right again he has every chance of landing this. Energumene wasn’t at his best that day and better can be expected here as he looks to defend his crown. While Edwardstone looked like he was going to go past Editeur Du Gite in January but was just beaten and has every chance of reversing that form here.

Cheltenham 16.10 - There won’t be a dry eye in the house if the mighty Tiger Roll gallops into retirement with an incredible sixth win at the Festival. The 12-year-old has enjoyed a magnificent career and if davy Russell can once again navigate this minefield of a course I can’t see anything giving the old boy a race. The ground should be fine for the Tiger and despite not troubling the judge in his two starts this season, rest assured Gordon Elliott will have the pride of Gigginstown ready to run for his life. He hacked up in the race last year after a similar prep with connections explaining the Tiger appreciated Cheltenham in the Spring!

Cheltenham 16.50 - The Grand Annual looks another tough gig but a chance is taken on Colin Tizzard’s six-year-old who may not be too harshly treated here off a mark of 143. A winner of two of his five starts over fences, I liked the way he went about his business at Wincanton in November, making virtually all and battling on gamely to score from Thyme Whyte. Following a decent second to Brave Seasca at Ascot, he looked certain to score at Newbury but parted company with Brendan Powell at the second last. Amarillo Sky put things right with an impressive win back at Newbury last month, jumping well and coasting home by 10 lengths from Ben Pauling’s Shakem Up’Harry.

Cheltenham 17.30 - Two romps round Leopardstown have seen the stellar Quevega’s son Facile Vega installed as favourite for the Champion Bumper and the hype machine slipped into overdrive. I’m happy to take him on though with Gordon Elliott’s American Mike. Making his debut at Down Royal in October, he tossed his cap into the Champion Bumper ring, cantering home for Mr J J Codd . If that looked good, better was to come at Navan in December when the point winner eased 17 lengths clear of the field still in second gear. In what promises to be one of the classic head to head battles at the Festival I’m backing the Elliott five-year-old to join the ranks of Envoi Allen and Fayonagh who have landed this Grade 1 for the Co Meath handler.

Cheltenham 13.30 - Mighty Potter has been a revelation of late winning his last two G1 chases and could prove a tough nut to crack again here. Appreciate was favourite for the Irish Arkle but only managed third and connections hope that the extra distance will help his chances of regaining the winning thread.

Cheltenham 14.10 - I hope you managed to get on at a price last week when I put up Fergal O’Brien’s lightly-raced hurdler for the Pertemps. The eight-year-old's odds have been slashed to around 7-1 but he still represents value in a race where Johnny Nash might suggest: ‘There are more questions than answers.’ He ran a decent race to finish fifth in last year’s Albert Bartlett, with Tuesday’s NH Chase winner Stattler three parts of a length in front of him in fourth. In his only start since, in the Warwick qualifier, he led two out going nicely before stopping rather abruptly on the run-in. Paddy Brennan’s kindness can be repaid in spades today and with the handicapper, in his wisdom, dropping Alaphilippe 2lbs for that effort I’m more than hopeful he can be King of the Hill.

Cheltenham 14.50 - Shishkin got back to winning ways last time out having stepped up in trip and he stayed on stoutly that day and is another festival favourite who could be tough to beat. Conflated drops back in trip here after winning a G1 at Leopardstown over 3 miles and is another to consider with the forecast soft ground in his favour.

Cheltenham 15.30 - Forecast soft ground conditions will suit Teahupoo who won a G2 over 3 miles on latest start and there could be more to come from him over this trip. Home By The Lee has to be respected after landing the Christmas Hurdle G1 at Leopardstown and confirmed the promise of him being an improving stayer.

Cheltenham 16.10 - Fergal O’Brien’s eight-year-old looks the answer to the Festival handicap chase. Disappointing behind Mrs Milner in last year’s Pertemps Hurdle, a wind operation preceded his debut over fences, finishing second in a match with Paul Nicholls-trained Silver Forever at Newbury in November. His jumping left a bit to be desired when second to Pat’s Fancy at Chepstow in December, but he looked an improving sort when bolting up in a novices’ handicap chase over course and distance at the end of January. A winner over 3m+ in a Warwick hurdle on heavy ground, any more rain wouldn’t harm his chances. I think there’s lots more to come from the gelding and he can carry the famous colours of Imperial Racing to more Festival glory.

Cheltenham 16.50 - There’s no doubt this mare has an abundance of talent but has tested the nerves of her connections by her tendency to jump left at her hurdles. Third behind Grangee and Party Central in a Leopardstown mares’ flat race last February, she opened her account over hurdles at Naas in December, making most of the running and cruising home under Paul Townend. Sent off jt-fav with stablemate Allegorie De Vassy at Fairyhouse, she jumped sketchily left at her hurdles and persisted in hanging throughout. If there’s anyone can sort out her issues it’s the Closutton team and back on a left-handed track her class can see her through.

Cheltenham 17.30 - Gordon Elliott has trained three of the last six winners of the Kim Muir and the Gigginstown horse can live up to his name by getting off the mark over fences here. Eighth of 22 behind Galopin Des Champs in the Martin Pipe Hurdle here last season, the Presenting gelding has only had three outings over fences but has been crying out for a step up in distance. Second at Fairyhouse to stablemate Floueur, who was not disgraced when sent off favourite for the Ultima on Tuesday, Frontal Assault will relish this trip and heavy ground will hold no fears for him.

Cheltenham 13.30 - Willie Mullins holds a strong hand here. Lossiemouth got into trouble on latest start when beaten by Gala Marceau but holds every chance of reversing that form if avoiding trouble in running. Blood Destiny is yet to step into black type company but the manor in which he’s won his first two races in Ireland suggests he’s ready for this step up in grade.

Cheltenham 14.10 - Gordon Elliott's smart six-year-old has improved with every run this season, winning his last three starts in the hands of Davy Russell. In October, the Bandit's winning streak kicked off with a decent performance in a maiden hurdle over two miles on the Old Course. He reappeared at Punchestown the following month to win off a mark of 119, then caught the eye of a few good judges when landing the hat-trick from a nine pounds higher rating. Although now rated 139 by the handicapper this side of the water, the County Hurdle is one race to have evaded the Cullentra House handler; this could be the day Top Bandit sets the record straight.

Cheltenham 14.50 - Absolute Notions has lost nothing in defeat on two previous starts and has to be respected as hes still only lightly raced and improvement could still be forthcoming over this longer trip. Hiddenvalley Lake was just touched of by Monty’s Star but holds every chance of reversing that form. While Corbetts Cross is also a winner over this trip and had a nice preparation run last month when winning a G2.

Cheltenham 15.30 - Another cracking renewal which has a lot of depth to it. Galopin Des Champs hasn’t looked back since falling here last year and took the step up to 3 miles in his stride at the Dublin Racing Festival and the extra two furlongs should prove an issue for him. King George winner Bravemansgame was very impressive at Kempton and has to be seriously considered. While last years winner A Plus Tard is not out of this despite pulling up at Haydock on latest run considering how he put the race to bed here last year to win by 15 lengths and is sure to mount a bold bid to defend his crown.

Cheltenham 16.10 - The Hunters Chase has never been high on my punting agenda but David Christie’s eight-year-old comes here on the back of an impressive record and he looks worth throwing a few roubles at. Likely favourite Billaway was given a comprehensive leathering by the selection at Thurles in January and whilst the Mullins horse probably needed that run, I believe there’s more in the tank from the younger horse who has been kept fresh for this.

Cheltenham 16.50 - The mares’ chase looks a trappy affair and JP’s Elimay could go off favourite to go one better than last year when she was touched off after a prolonged scrap with Colreevey. I’m happy to take her on though with the Elliott mare who beat Elimay fair and square in a Grade 3 at Fairyhouse on New Year’s Day. Mount Ida’s detractors will point to her tendency to jump to the right at times, but that didn’t stop her bolting up in the Kim Muir last year. I reckon we’ve yet to see the best of this mare and can be another winner for Davy Russell.

Cheltenham 17.30 - Place your bet, shout up a drink and take your place in the Last Chance saloon. Hopefully you’ve enjoyed a profitable week punting, if not, its time to play your get out of jail card. There are more plots in the Martin Pipe than the Beechgrove Garden and if I had a euro for every tip I’ve had for this race, I’d just about have enough for a pint of Guinness in the Arkle Bar. I’m rowing in again with Elliott who knows exactly what it takes to lay one out for this. From his multiple entries I’ve settled on the classy Hollow Games who looked the part on his two runs in Grade 1s at Leopardstown and Naas.
